While the product "HeadOn" may not work as advertised, OR it may not work for every kind of migraine, to claim as some have that 'all' such products 'won't' or 'can't' work is as ridiculous as to claim that 'one size fits all'. One size has always fit 'some' & it always will. Anyone who claims otherwise sets themselves up for a dope-slap.
For those who would ridicule a rub-on product for headache relief, I remind them to consider the case of hemophiliacs. A topical product is ideal for them, while ingesting a product such as aspirin, which I find quite safe, could be fatal to them
As a Traditional healer of my People, I speak from lifelong experience when I say that sometimes the best method of use is topical, just as other times it isn't. The catch in the case of the product called "HeadOn" is that the advertising writers got over-enthusiastic in making their claims, & they are getting dope-slaps, as they have earned. One size never fits all, and no product will cure every case within its horizon, either.
I have had 3 concussions; & the last one resulted in occular migraines for me. When I get a migraine, I get a visual disturbance in my left eye & sometimes the blistering pain associated with migraines - but sometimes I only get the visual disturbance. My ophthalmologist says both are migraines. I can keep nothing down when I get one - not even water. It is useless for me to even try to take a pill - I can't keep it in long enough for it to work, & throwing up makes me feel worse, of course.
The best cure I've found is peppermint schnapps - RUBBED ON acupuncture points specific for headache.
Straight grain alcohol does nothing. Peppermint oil by itself relieves some of the misery. But peppermint schnapps - a combination of grain alcohol & peppermint oil - rubbed on specific points (including on the forehead) does it for me every time. Will it work for everyone who suffers from migraines? I doubt it. But since it is effective for me, and it is safe to use on anyone of any age, I have no qualms about recommending it. I can't say that for common remedies made to be ingested, such as ibuprofen, which I have full anaphylactic allergic reaction to. And, it beats the heck out of throwing up while trying to get relief, and it smells good while its working.
