The only way of relieving the everyday stress is to turn on your favorite classical music station and let the music take you to places you could only dream of.As a subscriber to the symphony in my city, every concert that I have been to amazes me at the number of people attending the same concert, and what is even more outstanding is the number of young people that are attending these concerts.I have also asked a number of people why they like classical music and they all gave the same answer, "the music today is terrible".So to answer the question is classical music dead?

No way!

There is a wide variety of music in the world today and although I may sound like a prude, I am not for I listen to all kinds of music but I find that classical music is the only music that can calm and relax me, especially at dinner time, when I eat my meal without hearing the bad news of the day.I also listen when I have a headache. We hear classical music all the time, whether we are watching a movie or a commercial on television. Some concerts are cheaper in price then some sporting events and from watching PBS programming at Lincoln Center you can see the number of people attending these concerts.

You don't have to listen to classical music all the time, but no it is not dead.Pick any music,is it possible that that type of music is dead?Probably not, change is always good, as they say variety is the spice of life.I enjoy listening to classical rock, especially when I hear my favorite group,Led Zeppelin is playing, but at the same time I can change the music to classical and hear my favorite composer, Bach. Some rock performers have said when they're not on the road or recording they too enjoy the sound of classical music to help them unwind. The problem with other types of music is everyone thinks that it must be loud to get the full effect and having a conversation is next to impossible. Not with classical music, as long as the music is softly playing in the background, you can still carry the on the conversation.

Many people felt you had to rich to listen to classical music. Not really, many who low paying jobs listen to this music, there is no age limit, no certain type of person who can listen only to it.Although rock music is fine, put yorself in a situation where you are stuck in traffic after a long day.Tune into a classical station and let the music fill your soul, closing your eyes as the music takes you to another place. You tap the steering wheel, bob your head from side to side and before you know it, the traffic is moving and you're on your way home.

If you're able to listen at work, again tune your radio to that same station as you did on your way home.Let that same calming affect come over you all over again. You are now calm and relaxed and your day will fly by fast and before you know it, it's time to go home.

As long as we have music in our lives and classical music seems to be gaining in popularity, it will never die.
If want a calming part of your day, tune to a classicla music station and enjoy!
