"You Think You've Found It?"
So you think you've found love?
Identified the most elusive emotion?
Sometimes it's a sick-to-your-stomach,
one-too-m any-roller-coasters-after-
eati ng-too-much-junk-food kind of feeling.
Other times it's that I-hope-this-moment
lasts-foreve r-and-we-just-sit-here-in-each
other's-company-and-do-nothing -but-grow-old, feeling.
That momentary, fleeting, don't-think-I-could
ever-need-a nything-else, feeling.
You feel like you've been together forever.
You feel like you've just met.
You speak the same pace-talking-rambling-turning
w ithout-signaling-still-going-t he-same-way
never-ending-clamor . Never-saying-anything.
Savoring every moment. Covering everything.
Scary, so much in common. And yet so complimentary.
Overlapping just enough. Never wanting to separate.
No more game playing. No more, "How was your day?"
No more stock responses. No cliche.
Meeting on that spiritual plane. No longer alone.
Only wondering. Am I good enough?
Can't describe.
Can't define.
Can't know for sure.
Is this fleeting? Is this the feeling?

Turned and now facing the endless water of

and tore
Perfectly imperfect
My hand in yours
Child like and small
I look into you eyes
And I know that you
Are one of a kind
