"You Think You've Found It?"
So you think you've found love?
Identified the most elusive emotion?
Sometimes it's a sick-to-your-stomach,
one-too-many-roller-coasters-after-
eating-too-much-junk-food kind of feeling.
Other times it's that I-hope-this-moment
lasts-forever-and-we-just-sit-here-in-each
other's-company-and-do-nothing-but-grow-old, feeling.
That momentary, fleeting, don't-think-I-could
ever-need-anything-else, feeling.
You feel like you've been together forever.
You feel like you've just met.
You speak the same pace-talking-rambling-turning
without-signaling-still-going-the-same-way
never-ending-clamor. Never-saying-anything.
Savoring every moment. Covering everything.
Scary, so much in common. And yet so complimentary.
Overlapping just enough. Never wanting to separate.
No more game playing. No more, "How was your day?"
No more stock responses. No cliche.
Meeting on that spiritual plane. No longer alone.
Only wondering. Am I good enough?
Can't describe.
Can't define.
Can't know for sure.
Is this fleeting? Is this the feeling?

Where does a love story truly begin?

Hair blowing softly in the warm breeze
Turned and now facing the endless water of

Once upon a midnight kiss
came one fortnight of dreamlike bliss,
But misdirection led one heart

I stand before you on a starlit night,
Your twinkling eyes are a beautiful sight.
