You may be required to present your business idea to the investors then. How to present your idea to your investors in order to get the investment successfully? Here are some useful tips that can give you a hand to be successful in getting investment.
TIP ONE: THINK IN THE SHOES OF THE INVESTOR
Try your best to know your investors interest first. "If you want to win a battle, you should know all the situations well-yours and your enemy's " Though the investors are not your enemies, it is like a battle to gain the investment. If you know their interest points well, you add the percentage of success to your presentation. If you were the investor, what would you want from an investee? know them well, and know their interests well. This is the key.
TIP TWO: MAKE A NICE BUSINESS PLAN
Make a nice business plan, which is easy to remember and have all the possible questions that your investors are interested. Especially, how to make money, and the return rates, also, how to realize your plan. Take all the risks into consideration, which shows that you are thinking for your investors, and trying your best to realize your business plan. A nice business plan is the base for a good presentation to get investment. Usually, a practical business plan can win the hearts of the investors.
TIP THERE: TALK ABOUT YOUR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
When presenting your plan to the investors, remember to mention your management team. If it is well organized, you will add more to your success. Most of the investors focus on three factors of the investees: a practical business plan, reasonable returns, a good management team. You must let them know that you can lead your employees to realize the aim to gain the planned profit.
TIP FOUR: DO A CLEAN PRESENTATION
When presenting your strategies, do make them clear. However, do not present them in too much details. Most investors want to know well about the plan more if they are interested. By doing this, you leave room for the interested investors to arrange a further talk with you. Caution: This is suitable for most cases, however, if your investors likes to know the strategies in details, you need to follow their interest.
TIP FIVE: MEET THE TASTE OF YOUR INVESTOR
Be adjustable. Different investors have different topic focus, try to meet their taste. This is also very important for you to get the investment from the investor. Some investors don't like talktive persons, and some don't like the investees focus on technology only. If you know them well, do what they like. Please refer to Tip One and Tip Four.
TIP SEVEN: MIND YOUR MANNERS AND BE CONFIDENT
Last but not least important. Mind your manners, dressing, presenting your idea, private talk etc. All the actions that you show to them shine with your confidence. Every investors like a well-behaved businessmen. They want to invest to reliable and confident investees. Therefore, mind your manners and be confident when you do your presentation.
