Should Jerry Seinfeld star in another television sitcom?

Absolutely not. Some debates are very difficult, but this one was simple. Has anyone ever heard of the Seinfeld curse? That is referring to the fact that Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards, and Jason Alexander, who all made several attempts to make other series, all failed miserably. And they didn't just fail, they failed big. Why? Because they weren't on Seinfeld. The truth is, the three supporting characters on Seinfeld are all great talents, and on Seinfeld, that was magic. Unfortunately, it wasn't magic on any other show. Yes, Julia Louis-Dreyfus did win an Emmy for her series, The New Adventures of Old Christine, but was that because it was good or the fact that Emmy voters reminisced a bit? The show wasn't bad, it just wasn't Seinfeld. Now, I know that is not exactly answering the question, when it is should Jerry Seinfeld himself make another television show. First of all, if anyone has seen Seinfeld be interviewed, we know that it probably will never happen anyway. He doesn't want to. He left Seinfeld because he knew it would be a pop culture phenomenon to be enjoyed for many years to come if they didn't run it to the ground first. He was right. The Seinfeld DVD's sell more than almost any other series, and Seinfeld is arguably the best sitcom ever. I would completely agree with that. He also has put his efforts into other things, such as the computer generated masterpiece, Bee Movie, which I thought was hilarious. Seinfeld is such a great talent, and, as most people forget, a great writer. He could have much success doing more than being on a sitcom that can't compare to Seinfeld. I think Jerry is great, but if the rest of the cast had no luck with other sitcoms, I'm not sure he would either. Now, it has been about ten years since Seinfeld was on the air with new episodes, so maybe he could pull it off. I just doubt it. So does he. That's exactly why he hasn't done it. Jerry Seinfeld could have much success as a writer and creator of comedic masterpieces. I know he could have success behind the scenes of a new sitcom, I just don't think he'd have luck starring in one again. Lightning never strikes twice.
