The mission of hotjobs.com is "to be essential to job seekers by helping them advance their careers and employers by helping them build their workforce." How do they stand-up? Do they maintain their mission?

According to a press release, "HotJobs.com Ltd. is a leading recruiting solutions and software company. The company's flagship job site, HotJobs.com (http://www.hotjobs.com) is the confirmed most-visited, No.1 ranked job board according to independent research by Media Metrix. In addition to its popular consumer job board, HotJobs provides employers with progressive recruiting solutions such as its Resumix and Softshoe hiring management software, Agency Desktop and Diversity Marketing Solutions. The company recently ranked No.14 in Bloomberg Personal Finance Magazine's coveted "Tech 100" list."

Sounds impressive right? Well I checked out hotjobs.com. and this is what I found out about the company. December 27, 2001 brought a lot of change to hotjobs.com. This was the year that hotjobs.com merged with Yahoo!. The site continues to stay on the "Tech 100" list year after year. While it may not be as well known as some other sites-yet, it is quickly growing and gaining a name for itself as a reputable site.

Some of the great things that hotjobs.com has to offer the customers are services that make sense, these include job search engines, job search agents, personalization of the site tailored to your needs, the unique "HotBlock" feature, and a wide variety of career tools.

Job Search- There are several ways that one can conduct a job search on hotjobs.com. You can search by keyword, city and state or zip code, by a specific category or by any combination of those options. If you still aren't finding what you are looking for, you can do an advanced search, you can search for a specific company or even overseas. Post your resume on-line too for employers to view.

Search Agents and Personalization- This is where you put in criteria such as salary requirement, education levels, location etc. and hotjobs.com will e-mail you anytime a job fitting that criteria becomes available. If you're interested, you apply. The HotBlock will enable you to block jobs from certain employers, for example, if you do not want to be contacted by any recruiters.

Career Tools- Resume help, you can learn how to write a resume that will get you noticed. Interview help, you can get help with questions that you might be asked and go into your interview knowing what to expect and learn how to handle
