Recipes: Quick tuna noodle casserole

by Ivan-ac

We eat this a lot and love it. It's quick, easy, nutritious, and best of all cheap. Anyone at all can do it, so give it a try.

1) Boil the desired amount of pasta noodles in salted water. You can use any type of noodles you like. Penne (textured tubes), Fusilli (spirals), conchiglie (shells), macaroni....any kind. Just be carefull not to overcook them, as they will keep cooking in the oven, too. Your best bet is to leave them a little under done. Then strain them off and dump into a deep casserole pan.

2) Add a little salt and pepper (fresh cracked, if possible). Stir in 2 cans (water drained out) of regular flaked tuna and 1 large can of mushroom soup(Heat and serve variety). I like to add some grated cheese and mix it in, but you don't have to. I like medium cheddar, but parmesan would work great, too.

3) Top it with more cheese. I like medium cheddar here too, but Monterey Jack, Mozzarella, or a mix of any/all would also be great. Put on as little or as much as you like.

4) Place in oven, on bake setting, at 375-400 degrees, for about 30-40 minutes or until cheese is browned to desired color. Take out and let stand 5 minutes. Enjoy!
