Paid blogging: Saving up for a rainy day

There is increasing interest in making money from the internet and from blogging. This is because there are a lot of people who desire to make money from home, many who want to make money while doing something they enjoy, and because there is money to be had. Many people know that there is money to be had, but are unsure of how to find it. Paid blogging is one way to make a nice sum of money.

Blogging actually has a few different money sources to be had. First there are pay to click ads such as AdBrite or the more popular Google Adsense. These are good sources of passive income and can make the blogger a fair amount of time, but it takes a lot of work to build them up. You have to have a fair amount of traffic in order for these programs to make money for the blogger. This is something that can certainly happen over time, but not in the beginning.

Affiliate programs can be used on blogs and often have the same issues as the pay per click ads. This is not true for most blog networks because they have more traffic. As a blogger you can apply for a writing position at a blogging network, however it is often hard to get in. There are also programs that do revenue sharing such as BlogChex and Blogger Party. These options allow you to write for them and make money from the traffic and ads that your pages display. This is certainly an option.

But to get into paid blogging and have a fair amount of income coming in you can work with the sponsored post. A sponsored post is a post that is an advertisement. You write it according to standards set down by the advertiser. You place it on your blog and you get paid for it. There are several middle men companies that make it easy to do things like this now. PayPerPost is the largest.

PayPerPost
PayPerPost is the largest sponsored post or blogging website. You can join PayPerPost and add your blog as soon as it is 90 days old with regular posts. PayPerPost is open internationally, however your blog must be in English. PayPerPost will display the opportunities you are eligible for. You can then write the post, submit it, and wait for it to be accepted. As long as you followed all of PayPerPost rules and the requirements for the post you will be accepted. If you are denied then you can resubmit it. Thirty days after you submitted your post you will be eligible for payment via PayPal.

However, PayPerPost is no means by itself. There are several other programs, each of them acting just a little different. The ones that it is easy to get accepted by even with a newer blog are Sponsored Reviews, CREAMaid, Bloggerwave, Blogsvertise, and of course PayPerPost.

In addition to these programs that will easily accept most blogs there are ones that will accept you after you have reached a pagerank. They include, but are not limited to, Review Me, Blogitive, LinkWorth, LoudLaunch, PayU2Blog, and Smorty. There are still others.

This can be a very profitable option for bloggers to make money. This lets you control your income a little more. Additionally, you can make enough for a rainy day and even in some cases for a living. It takes time to build it up, but you can make a lot of money blogging with sponsored posts!
