a job that utilizes your skills and experience as part of a team. However, if your desire is to be a leader, then leverage that strength.
Think about whether or not you are creative and decide if you enjoy creating things. If the answer is yes, then how can this can be applied to your work? Graphic designers, artists, computer programmers, interior designers they are all creative. It also takes creativity to conduct a compelling presentation to a room full of people. Some have more contact with people every day than others. How can your creativity be used in your work and still match your personality type?
Based on your personality type, decide the best way to deploy your communication style and creativity effectively. Skill is only one component of finding the right job.
INTERESTS
Often times, your personality drives your interest. It is important that you know what interests you and what jobs are available that fill that need. For example, do you enjoy working with the elderly or does that cause you anxiety? You certainly don't want a job in a nursing home if this is the case! Think about your interests and then evaluate job opportunities based on those things. You may find that your interests lie in computers, web design, non-profit organizations, marketing, or teaching. Taking a good look at what interests you will have a tremendous impact on your job satisfaction and ability to perform well.
RISK TAKING
Different personality types have different tolerances for risk. Some occupations dictate that you are able to accept risk and handle potential downfalls or failures without impacting your ability to move on to the next opportunity.
You may prefer to work on your own and if this is the case, make sure you have the temperament necessary to accept risk if it is required. Entrepreneurs, real estate agents, and brokers all work very independently. But they also require the ability to take risks and accept major challenges when their business declines as a result of an economic downturn. If you embark on careers such as this, make sure you have the personality to handle the good and the bad!
Matching your personality type with the right job is important since you spend so much of your time at work. Conduct a thorough and honest self-evaluation and decide what job is best for you based on your personality, skills, and experience.
If you effectively identify and obtain a job that matches your personality type and personal goals and objectives, then you will be successful! The personal and financial rewards of doing something you love are much more important than just doing any job.
Take time to evaluate yourself honestly and you will reap the rewards in every area of your life.
