Poetry: Does God ever say no?

I came inside and made alive,
that soul, I'm told, is blind
She'll persecute you for your sins
She'll break and rape your mind
And through it all I'll hold on tight
And hope I don't fall through
But if that fails what will I be?
What happens if I do,
I do,
I do

Now wipe it off and turn the cross
I can't believe I lost
And everything that I need too
Was taken at a cost
But I'll fall down, just hang around
And then I'll say it too
If nothing ever matters
Then nothing else is true
And no one cares and never will
Should I depend on you?
If everything is gonna fail!
Then what does saying it do?

My mind it stopped then looked around
The colors still shine through
I burned them there a time or two
I did it all for you
I don't know what I'm meant to be
Perhaps I'll get to see
I'll get to choose and get to lose
To get to be me,
me,
me!

Now turn it down and laugh it off
Put me on a cross
And everything that I once was
Is broken, torn apart
But I'll fall in to the ground
And still it will be true
If nothing ever matters
Then nothing else is true
And no one cares and never will
Should I believe in you?
If everything is bound to fail!
Then what does saying it do?
