Stressed out? Here's how to survive

the day, use that ten minutes when you get into bed. Lie comfortably on your back, breathe deeply and relax every muscle in your body beginning at your toes and working up to the crown of your head. Just think how well you'll sleep afterwards!

The next thing to do is take control of your life. Set priorities and get your attitude right. Allocate time to your loved ones and your hobbies as well as to important tasks. Make a conscious decision to enjoy family time. Try planning for tomorrow at the end of today, so that you can start off on the right foot in the morning.

Plan in a little time for exercise, even if it's just a brisk walk. Exercise helps you get rid of surplus aggression, and also releases endorphins which make your feel good about yourself. Find something you enjoy doing, so you'll keep doing it. And if you can find an exercise which includes your family, isn't that a great way to spend time with them?

Eat well. This is easier than it sounds. Once again, make time with your family and sit down at table for meals. Relax and enjoy every mouthful. Include fresh fruits and vegetables and you won't have to feel so guilty about the occasional indulgence. The ideal plate of food has a small helping of meat, and a large helping of fruits, vegetables and grains. If need be, take a nutritional or herbal supplement to fill the gaps.

Get enough sleep. Your body needs to rest and your soul needs to dream.

Those five simple steps will help you achieve more than you ever thought possible. You'll have the energy not only to cope with the demands of daily life, but to actually enjoy them. Hey, isn't stress just wonderful?
