Ouch! What happened here. "Ghostrider" gets an unenviable 3 of 10 in my book.

"Ghostrider" is a really awesome comic book series by Marvel comics about this tormented demon creature who has turned on his own demon brood and lives in a rolling, burning hell on wheels. Excellent comic.

"Ghostrider" the movie is about, well, it's about Nicholas Cage looking moody, which is nothing new and B grade effects. Let's not discount the B grad effects. Okay okay, it's about how Nicholas Cage sort of accidently sells his soul and then turns into this firey demon while looking moody.

Eva Mendez plays the female lead. I don't know if she can act. They didn't ask her to for this one.

What this movie really lacks is anything noticeable. The acting is ho hum, the story is totally predictable, and, with the exception of a few moments when the motorcycle is tearing things up, the effects aren't very good either.

I place this movie firmly in the also ran category of comic books turned movies. For a far better showing, try "The X Men" or even "The Fantastic Four."

I read somewhere that you should try to write something good in your review even if the movie really sucked. Well, there was a note in the credits that said; "No animals were harmed in the filming of this movie. That's nice.
