Like myself, the Pink Flamingo is a bold, vibrant being in a gray world. I believe that if I were to choose what animal was the most like me or my personality, it would be that of the Pink Flamingo. The flamingo is often overlooked, yet it's color suggests that it should be noticed. Few people know that a flamingo's color is dependent upon how much food it eats. The more food (flamingo's eat algae), the brighter the hue. Pretty dynamic for a plain old bird, I think.
Flamingo's have been around the world for over 47 million years, longer than humans, even! This tells me that the Pink Flamingo is a survivor. Yet, it is extinct in the wild, in fact, you can only find them in zoo's or bird sanctuaries. Unless, of course, you look at the fun-tastic hot pink lawn ornament. This says that though the flamingo is fit for survival, it is also high maintenance. What a coincidence, so am I! I think that the flamingo, while remaining a strong part of our world, is intelligent enough to not make waves. What I mean, is that they seem to be a constant, in the world, as am I, or personalities like mine.
In the late fifties, America was yearning for more vibrancy in their normal everyday lives. Hence the Pink Flamingo became very popular lawn decor. It was associated with lavishness, as a vacation to warm climates like Florida were popular in the late fifties, and so the flamingo hit it big! As a matter of fact, they are still one of the most popular lawn ornaments to date.
I like flamingo's because they are fun. They seem to stand out amongst their peers in their species. Most birds are hard to identify when put side by side. But you will always know a flamingo! They are not insolent, or dangerous, yet they are strong and bold. They are graceful, and meek, but they can stand on one leg all day long, proving that they are sturdy and can be counted upon. They are a classic part of American culture.
Like a Pink Flamingo, I am can be dependent upon, I am strong, yet not defiant. I am noticeable, and popular, and loved by many. I am classic, as well, like my fine pink friend. I am a force to be reckoned with, like my silent pink pals. I am likable, and fun, bold and vibrant, yet not gaudy. Yes, I do believe I am proud to be a Pink Flamingo person.

Most likely, a horse. Horses just suit my personality the most, and not just any horse you find on a ranch either; wild horses.
