Carne asada is more than a dish on a Mexican menu. When cooked at home with family or friends, carne asada becomes a simple meal that unites. Carne asada, or grilled meat, is made from paper thin cuts of steak seasoned with lime and meat tenderizer. Another great low carb dish is tinga, a dish of shredded chicken in chipotle salsa. Boil split breast chicken until thoroughly cooked. In order to save time, make the salsa while the chicken is cooking. Place three to four tomatoes in a blender with desired number of chipotle peppers. Chipotle peppers are dried jalapenos that are placed in cans with adobo sauce. This gives food a smoky yet spicy flavor. Blend these well and set aside until chicken is ready.

Dieters can benefit from Mexican dishes because tomatoes, onions, garlic, and a little bit of chile can add a ton of flavor without adding fat and carbs.
