I work two days a week for my sister, as her book keeper. She is an electrician, and built an office in part of her garage.
Picture one of the garage bays, split in half, and then drywalled, its still really the garage, and no matter how hard we try, we just can't seem to keep it clean and organized. Her employees drop stuff off in the office on the way to the shop in the back, and that includes their leftover lunches and other odds and ends.
The garage is "owned" by my sister's cat.. Marmalade, and she is a beautiful, affectionate, and very much an outside cat. She loves to hunt, and the garage, office and shop have become her hunting grounds for mice, especially when food gets left behind.
One warm summer day, I was working on the computer, when Marmalade brought in his catch of the day, from the back shop. I didn't notice right away, as I usually do, and I guess he wanted to make sure I saw his prize.
He promptly dropped the mouse body on the keyboard of the computer, right in front of me.. He had jumped on the table beside the computer desk, and just laid it out neatly on the keyboard. The mouse body was just heavy enough to erase everything I was working on.
Without going into too much detail... the keyboard needed a good clean, and I had to get rid of the body... only after saying "what a good boy" he was for catching the mouse. I spent the next hour, cleaning the keyboard, trying to find what I had been working on, and turned around to see him taking a drink from my glass of water.. I hope he has had all his shots!
