The content of your page is the most important element on your site. Whether you have a website or a blog, interesting content is necessary.

If you aren't interested in your subject, no one else will be interested, either. Your content will tell readers whether you're interested in your subject. A true enthusiasm for your subject will always come through in your writing.

Keep the content changing. Don't allow your website or blog to go more than a couple of days without adding and/or changing the setup in some way whether it's adding new content or deleting out of date information on the site. Keep an eye on your links and make sure they are working.

There are free ways to advertise your website and blog. Visit another site similar to yours and post a comment, join forums related to your subject, start a free newsletter for your subject, have a link to your website in all your e-mail signatures. These aren't the only free ways to advertise your site, I'm sure you could think of a couple yourself.
