To get more traffic you need to have very good content on your pages, plus you need lots in links to your page from very good websites. Dont forget to add your website to search engines and directories. They have lots of traffic waiting for sites like yours. Make sure your also submit your blog to social websites like Digg, Technorati, Del.icio.us, and Stumble Upon.

Clicks or CTR

CTR is the % of impressions that converts to clicks. A 8% CTR means that 8% of the impressions resulted in clicks. This is a critical number to your success. Getting more traffic is difficult but increasing your CTR is easy so you can easily earn many times more just by making a small change in the ads.

Remove the borders. Borders make your users stay away from the ads. Borders are like a barrier. Remove it.
Camouflage the ad with the content. Nobody likes ads on pages, so if you integrate the ads with the content, they are more likely clicked. Also match the colors and size with the blog text. Make the ads and link colors the same.

Price per Click

This is what makes a difference between a 0.1$ per click and 1$ per click. You must carefully the keywords which makes your content. Some words are more expensive than others so choose your keywords wisely!
