Tired of crying the blues and sitting in your PJ's while life is passing you by after a break up? Here are some tips to get you working towards healing and moving on with your life.
#1 Do not call him after the break up under any circumstances. You may think you miss the sweet timbers of his voice, or feel like the world won't turn without him, but under no circumstances should you call him. Have a plenty of emergency numbers handy (friends not 911) to call when the urge hits.
#2 Stay busy. No time to sit and dwell. Stop reliving it! Hit the gym and start working on your hot new look for your next date. Go out with the girls, volunteer, but do not stay at home and be sappy sue.
#3 Don't call him. Just incase you forgot good ole #1.
#4 Write out the pain. Take 30 minutes a day and vent and reflect, for your eyes only. ONLY 30 minutes, no all day vent sessions allowed.
#5 Avoid rebound dating, no good, never lasts. Give yourself sometime to heal before dating. It's unproductive to be on a date and thinking of an ex. No good.
#6 Put any letter, photos, and such in a box and put it out of sight for now. Do not allow yourself to go through the past. It's the past.
#7 Avoid Ben & Jerry. These are two guys you don't need in your life either! Putting on the pounds won't make you feel any better about yourself. Hit the gym, take a walk, but no pitty party eating.
