Try taking the stairs at work, or parking your car farther away in the parking lot as other calorie burning options. Remember, losing weight will ALWAYS take effort on your part, and even changing just a few unhealthy habits can go a long way.
TIPS FOR EATING WELL:
Start your day off with breakfast. Most American's claim they don't have time for breakfast, but starting your day off with protein and fiber has been proven to ward off cravings the entire rest of the day. Try wheat toast, eggs, turkey bacon and fruit. If you don't have enough time to cook in the mornings, you can slice up fruit and put some bran cereal in a zip-lock baggy and eat it on your way to work.
Resist late-afternoon snacking. As 4 o'clock rolls around and the snack machine is calling your name, just remember all the hard work you've already put forth that day. Don't ruin it with a sugary candy bar or a bag of fattening chips. Stash some trail mix or light popcorn in your desk drawer if you have to have something.
Reduce your food proportions. A good rule of thumb is to eat a fist-sized portion of protein, along with a 1/2 cup of grain and 1/2 cup of vegetables at dinner. Eat slower so your stomach has more time to feel full. When eating out, ask for a to-go box and save half of your meal BEFORE you start eating.
Say no to processed sugar. Processed sugar can be found in candy bars, soda, coffee drinks and most other sweets. Try eating your favorite sweet fruit instead. The more natural sugar you eat, the less tasty processed sugar will seem.
Don't eat after 8:00 pm. Late night snacks will undo an entire days' work, so resist the urge. Try a peppermint, which naturally deters food cravings, or a stick of sugar-free gum instead.

For those willing to pay, you can always hire a personal trainer or join popular weight loss centers such as Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig, both of which have high success rates among clients. They also offer supportive communities, and it's a proven fact that people who are supported throughout their weight loss process have a much better chance of losing more weight and keeping it off in the long run.
Lastly, there are detox diets. These can be used by themselves or with a combination of diet and exercise. The Lemonade Diet is popular among health professionals and celebrities to lose water weight and to detox the body. Beware, however, as it is a 2 week fasting diet and hard to stick with. You can research this diet at www.thelemonadediet.com.
