n a low carb diet, where can I go out to eat?"
The answer is anywhere that you want to go. Just take your diet sense with you.
Most full service restaurants have learned to cater to the health consciousness of the public and offer options to keep any dieter on course. By offering vegetables instead of potatoes or specialty salads, restaurants have realized diet trends can be incorporated into their menus.
Even fast food places have gotten on the health conscious bandwagon and are offering more varieties of salads and chicken. "Wraps" have taken the place of bread.
More and more restaurants are offering breakfast all day. Steak and eggs can taste good anytime.
Be creative! If you are really craving a hamburger, how about ordering it without the bun and having a salad instead of fries? Salad dressing makers are catering to the dieters now and the wide variety of "safe" dressings are growing.
Instead of deep fried fish or shrimp, ask for it broiled and unbreaded. It's just as good, if not better, than the deep fried version.
You don't have to totally deprive yourself off desserts. A few bites may satisfy your craving so ask your dining mates to share a piece of pie with you.
