Is he a heroe?
All the factors pointed at cardiovascular arrest . Mr. Bartel was taken to the Emergency room of one of Tampa's hospitals where he was quickly attended by a group of professionals who saved his life. Two days later one of the school teachers entered the classroom and notified the class that Mr. Bartel had a pacemaker which is an artificial pacemaker is a small, battery-operated device that helps the heart beat in a regular rhythm. Some are permanent (internal) and some are temporary (external). They can replace a defective natural pacemaker or blocked pathway. But this device stopped working the day Mr. Bartel almost dies but were the paramedics the ones who saved him , or what then saved Mr. Bartel ?

Mr. Bartel was leaving the school that day , he was walking to his car in the desolated parking lot of the school when all of a sudden he is strike by a heart attack . Mr. Bartel's heart had stopped working , he had no pulse , and he wasn't breathing either if left there Mr. Bartel would have died . Due to the lack of oxygen the brain was receiving but fortunately there were three people who saw what was happening to Mr. Bartel and they quickly realized something must be done now Besides calling 911 this three people knew Mr. Bartel was an elderly man who without their help wouldn't have survived this . This group of people composed of the school deputy sheriff , the school chef and a student of the school all together rushed to the scene where the victim in this case the science teacher had fallen to the ground they practiced C.R.P on Mr. Bartel , The student was the first one to arrived to where Mr. Bartel was , he immediately started practicing cardiopulmonary resuscitation to the body of the victim . Paramedics took 10 minutes and 55 seconds to arrived to the scene . This amount of time is fatal for the human brain , oxygen in blood has to be circulating often and shall not be stopped however when Mr.Bartel's heart stopped pumping blood to the rest of the body there was no chance to survive ten minutes and fifty five seconds without the circulation of blood , brain cells would have died and soon Mr. Bartel would have died as well. The student paid closely attention to his health teacher while he was explaining how and why c.p.r is important , he learned how to practice c.p.r on someone , This wonderful fact was the main reason why Mr. Bartel survived to this heart attack. Once the paramedics arrived they mobilized Mr. Bartel to the closest hospital
