Although I am personally against abortion, I still believe that it is a woman's right to choose. There could be many reasons for a woman deciding to have an abortion. If she were raped I could understand why she would not want to carry the baby. If the woman's health were at risk, and carrying the baby to full term could be detrimental. I am also sure there are many reasons that a woman might choose not to have a baby.

I for one would think that they also have other options. Ultimately it is her body and her decision. My girlfriend got pregnant when we were very young and she chooses to give the baby up for adoption. There are so many loving people out there who for whatever reason can't have a baby of their own. I have a cousin and he and his wife were never able to have a child of their own. They adopted about 3 children over the years and I have to tell you that to them, these are their children. They could not be loved anymore if they were the biological parents.

Being that I am a man of faith I think that abortion is a sin; however we all have free will to choose whatever it is we want to do with our lives. Some radical religious types think that a person is going to hell if they have an abortion. I don't know if that is true or not, but I do know that God is a loving God and no sin is too big that He won't forgive.

The bottom line, be it right or wrong, it is not against the current law of man for a woman to choose. In this case one has to put their personal feelings aside and let the woman make that decision. Unless of course you happen to be the father and you should then at least be able to have some type of input. It still doesn't change the fact that the baby is in the woman's stomach and I think the final choice should be the woman's. Once again I am no authority on the subject it is after all just one man's opinion.
