Common Low-Carb Diet Mistakes

Eating meat for every meal. You need a basic understanding of how carbs work and how to keep a low carb meal balanced.

Jumping right into a low carb diet. Suddenly you feel lethargic, fatigued and irritable.
You can cure this and balance out your diet by adding more nuts and vegetables to your menus.
you need to ease into a low carb diet by cutting back on carb intake gradually.

Not Enough Vegetables. Vegetables actually are important in a low carb diet and should be on your daily menu. Stay away from fruit except those with low sugar content.

Not Exercising Enough. Exercise is important in a low carb diet because it lowers insulin resistance. Low-carb diets are based on blood sugar.

Not understanding the phases of a low carb diet.

Skipping breakfast. Eating early in the day will help you maintain energy for the rest of the day.

Giving Up Too Quickly. As in any diet, patience is a "must have"

Not Enough Fiber. There are plenty of low carb foods containing fiber. Don't forget to include them in your meals. Mustard Greens, Chicory, Endive are highly recommended for low carb diets. Celery, mushrooms, radishes and cabbage are examples of vegetables with high fiber, low carb counts.
