Essentially, the key to warding off a bad burn, and the potential risks that follow the pain, relies more on the diligent application of the sunscreen, starting approximately 15 minutes before exposure, allowing time for the compound to set in, and then application over approximate two hour intervals, provided no activity involving swimming or heavy perspiration takes place.

This product may stain certain clothing.
For those engaged in a high level of activity, or who are preparing for a bit of diving or swimming, Aloe Gator provides a high quality sun screening gel that is a non-greasy compound that provides a full 8 hours of SPF 40 protection regardless of how much sweating or swimming you do. The cost is roughly $22.00 USD per 4 oz. container for this high grade sun screen.
Depending on your level of activity and regular application of the sunblock, all three of these offer excellent protection from the sun while yachting, but each tailors specifically to a niche of users. Depending on your needs and style, there is certainly a type of sunscreen that will suit you well.
