Going to work may seem like the right thing to do when you think you may have just a cold. But do you really think about the effects of you going out in public when you have a common cold?
If you are employed at any health-care facility or food preparation, going to work should NOT even be an option. Germs spread so easily and you are not even aware of it. Washing hands is of great importance. If you wipe your nose on your sleeve, which is unsanitary then you have contaminated your clothing. What if someone pats you on the shoulder then you have just spread your germs. Cover your mouth when you cough. Our health-care facilities have enough ill people we don't need to make it worse by giving the patient the common cold which can turn easily into pneumonia which can kill elderly.
We are of more threat to people with AIDS when we have a common cold then they are to us. It doesn't matter how they got AIDS they are people to and if sneeze or cough on someone with the virus it can easily make them so sick that they will die. There immune system is so low that a common cold can kill them. AIDS doesn't kill you it's the illness or sickness that you get like the flu, pneumonia, septic, or the common cold that kills you.
Everyone that has a common cold should really take into consideration others before going to work. If you were at work and someone else came in with a common cold you would probably tell them to go home. So you need to consider that before going to work.
