One person's disasterous hair cut could be another person's fashion 'must have' so before you go into hiding for the next six months try these:
1) Tell everyone you won a competition and the prize was a make-over at a top London/ New York/ Paris salon. 'This is next season's look - isn't it just fabulous?'
2) Colour it. Try magenta, bright orange or emerald green. Dazzle people with rainbow hues and they won't notice the cut.
3) Let it be known that you've landed a part in a major - but top secret - film and you're really getting into your character.
4) Have fun experimenting with hats or scarves - a different one every day. Become famous as 'The Weird Hat Lady'.
5) Stare blankly at anyone greeting you by name, then explain that you are not you, but your long-lost twin sister.
Have fun!
