Five most fashionable methods for disguising bad hair cuts

Bad haircut? Oh, the HUMANITY! This is perhaps one of the most frustrating things to happen while seated in the stylists chair. Assuming that the said style victim is a woman, there are things you can do to minimize the "pain" of a horrible haircut:

RECUT- Many people aren't willing to cut their hair further, after it's already been chopped off. But cutting the hair shorter (if possible) into a different, and presumably better style is a definite option.

PONYTAIL IT- Assuming that your hair is cut into a length that will facilitate a ponytail, this is probably the best way to disguise an unflattering cut. Hold shorter strands in place with a bit of styling gel or mousse. If you plan on wearing a ponytail for more than a few days, make sure that the ponytail holder does not pull hair too tightly at the nape. Keep hair extra conditioned so that strands remain stronger, and do not break due to the tension of the holder.

HAT HEAD- A temporary fix to a bad haircut, is to wear a hat. This may not be appropriate in all situations. But there are other hair accessories that may be acceptable. Headbands, even on short haircuts can really spruce up a style. These can be worn in varying styles and colors, until the hair grows out.

WIGGIN' OUT- Be daring. If you've always wanted to try out a certain style, do so immediately by visiting a local wig shop. Where else can you literally try on a multitude of styles. You can even choose the style that you were originally going for, in order to show the stylist exactly what you wanted. In the meantime, you've got a great temporary fix! If you don't wish to wear a full wig, try a hairpiece (or fall). Falls sometimes feel more natural than a full wig. And you can experiment with many different colors and styles.

GRIN AND WEAR IT- Just because you ended up with a haircut that isn't to your liking, doesn't mean it has to stay that way. Depending upon the cut you have, there are probably many different ways you can style your hair at the length it is. Explore different salon magazines and look at lengths similar to yours so that you can see the many alternatives to the style you have. It's very possible that your haircut may not be as bad as you think!

Happy STYLING!
