With a computer, an internet connection and an e-mail address, anyone can start making money on the internet. You do not need any capital start up and you do not need to sell anything. Unfortunately the Internet waters are shark infested, so be careful! Anyone asking for your credit card number on-line to help you build your business is taking advantage of you. It is completely unnecessary. Here are some ideas to get you started.

Join a social networking site that pays its users, like Yuwie. This site is very much like MySpace. You build a profile page, add some pictures and blogs, make friends, invite friends and start making money. Of course nothing is as easy as it sounds, it may take nearly a year to build your Yuwie downline to a profitable level, but most businesses take a lot more time than that and there is absolutely no capital investment. Like I said, you will make friends here, and that is exactly what you need to promote any business, people who know you and trust you.

Start writing, words make the internet what it is. Websites need content. Start a lens on Squidoo, write for Helium, write your own articles and submit them to article hubs. Most importantly, start BLOGGING. What is a blog? I get that question all the time. I think of a blog like a diary, anything you do, anything you think, anything that interests you can become a blog. There are plenty of free blogging sites, Wordpress and Blogger are some of the best. Start a free blog page and write as often as you can. Search Engines love to spider sites that are updated frequently, this will help improve your ranking in the Search Engines. After three months you should be able to start blogging for money. There are internet companies that pay bloggers to write about products and services. These blogs don't even have to be positive, you can write your honest opinion, as long as you add a link to the advertiser. PayPerPost and Smorty are a few companies that come to mind.

Traffic Exchanges are great ways to get your website seen without paying a dime. Linkreferral has been the most helpful traffic exchange site I have tried. I have met several website owners through this service that have helped me groom my site, and have become devout followers of my blog. Traffic Pods is another free traffic exchange I suggest you try, it is simple and you will see more traffic to your site immediately!

I have also been known to play games for gift cards with a site called Netwinner. I simply play games that are similar to Bingo and Money Wheel...I multi-task this site and my traffic exchanges, it takes about 2 hours of my day, its a no-brainer and its fun!

Survey sites in my opinion are risky and a waste of time. I have heard of some people having success with this, but I have not. Most of these companies are snakes looking for your personal information. You become a target; your phone will not stop ringing and your e-mail will be spammed with all kinds of garbage. Most importantly, DO NOT give credit card information to any of these surveys...it is BIG trouble!

I wish you luck in starting a blog and a social networking site. It can be a slow process, but if you keep at it and have fun, you will find that in a year's time you have made some terrific progress!
