if you dont know how to change a wheel you should not really be driving a car , i think you should have to explain this to an instructor when you take your driving test . find a safe place to stop . a flat tire will drive for a bit . find spare wheel jack and wheel brace . check cars manual as where to place jack. loosen nut a bit while car is on the ground . most wheels are put on very tight so some pepople will need a longer wheelbrace than they give you with the car . these can be purchaced at reasonable price from most car accecory shops. once the wheel is high enouhgh loosen bolts fully take off wheel replace with spare wheel then tighten nuts finger tight . lower car to ground tighten nuts as tight as you can using a diagonal pattern . put jack and wheelbrace away safely . dont go driving miles without getting the flat tyre repaired/renued remember this is what got you out of trouble . its allways a good thing to make sure that the cars jack works and that the tyre that you have got as a spare actualy fits the car . someone i know had the car in the air then tried to fit the tyre and it was complety the wrong type . somebody else no jack or wheelbrace . so next time you use your car why not do a small check . your spare tyre could be flat.
