In a grocery store vegetable section there are two red peppers. One pepper is young, and firm. Just by squeezing it, you know this is the best one there. The other pepper is old, and showing its age. It has a black spot on it, and is wrinkled. Not one shopper has picked this pepper up for days. Now you the reader go into this grocery in need of a red pepper for dinner. You chose to pick up one of the peppers to feel it. Which one did you pick up?

I bet we all know the answer to that question. Why would you even look at the inferior product? Your dinner will be perfect with the newer pepper. But as you are about to bag your produce, a stock boy empties an additional bag of red peppers. Your choice has expanded. The old pepper is now at the bottom of the pile (where it belongs), and you wish to choose between the one you are holding, and the new arrivals. This is a dilemma no person should ever face.

Wanting the best possible candidate, you place the pepper you have chosen back on the pile. Now it will compete with all the others for the prize of being chosen. You finally pick the best candidate, pay your bill and depart from the store. You believe you have done the best you can for your family. This is how it is done in America, or do some people want you to have taken the old bad pepper?

You can solve this by taking a green pepper, but why should you. The est candidate had to be selected, and you did your job. This may, or may not differ from college admissions. I don't think it does! Colleges hold to your standards, keep this country the best it can be. America was designed so the best can be chosen, why are we changing it.? All races have been at a disadvantage at one time, they worked hard to achieve. To change this principle is against the American way. Colleges make the decision based upon which student has the better qualifications for admission to your university. Be color blind!
