Is online video/Internet TV here to stay?

Well of Course! The industry has been booming in the past few years. You just have to look at the notorious Youtube once never heard in a household but now like magic a household name. It feels like online videos/TV has just been introduced, properly to the population. Online TV is lagging behind the Youtube world but I believe that in a few more years online TV will be on the Internet at amazing speeds with no buffering.

The fact of the matter is that in MED C's (more economically developed countries) there is a growing number of the population with broadband which is widening there variety and choice of service. The kids of today watch Soccer clips funny videos on the web, its ENTERTAINMENT. The world has only just seen the beginning of TV streaming online. However there is a contradiction which may mean with one e.g. Youtube you cannot have the other e.g. BBC news 24.

The kids of today are getting a greater knowledge of computing at a younger age, which means while doing there home work they could be watching cartoon network at the same time, which opens a new question of will homework be done on time?

Youtube now is at its peak it cannot only be viewed on you computer but also on you iTouch or iPhone, and I believe soon BBC, CNN and the likes of HBO will be watched on your way to work, in the MacDonald's queue and more. I believe that there is a vast industry out there just waiting to be discovered for online TV, but on the other hand when online TV becomes mainstream and fast then you can kiss your Youtube, Metacafe ect away.

You can find all sorts of information on the internet by searching in Google, or step to step guides but what if you don't understand them? Well this is where youtube has recently been accelerating at the is more and more instructions and guide being uploaded everyday. The reason for the popularity is that you can actually see what to do and even be talked through with it.

The BBC has recently made a move to make a step into this market, do they no more than us? Do they believe this type of viewing will stay, well obviously otherwise they wouldn't be spending money on there new iPlayer. More and more news websites are using videos to report on the top stories and less is being put on the page its self. Well is this the deterioration of our intelligence.

There is a vast market to hack into for the online TV world they are thinking of putting TV on the new consoles coming out. Also Ive heard of desktop embedded TV. Well hope this article has convinced you but hey why would corporations be paying massive amounts of money just to see it die.
