As a little girl, I would show up to any family function or skate party with a Polaroid camera around my neck. I took pictures of my friends, with my friends, and loved to put them in photo albums. I made collages, I glued them to cards. I was a photo sharing addict.
Photo sharing on the Internet is perfect for someone like me. My website of choice is Smugmug. I think I tried photobucket and other sites over the years, and I found Smugmug a great place to organize and pay for more room to store more photos. They are now hosted somewhere on the web, they can be private or public, and I can order hard copies straight from the website.
Remember the days where you had to back up all photos on a floppy disk or a CD? I don't know where any of those are today, so it is great to have them forever on the Internet. I also love PICASA from Google. This wonderful program lets me edit my photos, email them in batches, send them to a new Picasa album that is attached to my google and now even uploads directly to my Smugmug if I want it to!
Photo sharing is great - and most of my peers use Myspace as a photo sharing vehicle. I love this too, and the tagging and commenting is always fun. I do think having them backed up in a Smugmug account is best as well. Thanks!
