This is what poetry means to me:
MEN
They live to survive in a vast universe
On a small planet which they call mother earth
They have no idea of where it all began
And yearn to know the beginnings of man
They ask, they seek, and still don't understand
What is the purpose and nature of the man
Who wishes to control another man's will
When they say, "no" and don't understand still
What in the universe will help man live in peace
Without being ruled by governmental beasts
Without struggling with each other to survive
Without sacrificing their most precious lives
What can man do to have peace on earth
Among other men who are all giving birth
To new baby men who they wish to receive
The knowledge of life from the old men indeed
But why do they keep destroying each other
Killing more men, new men and their mothers
When all they need do is to love one another
And bring forth the future for all men and their brothers
Will men ever learn?
