Visiting San Diego, California, in the summer

San Diego, California in the summer is a vacation no one should miss. This destination is sure to please every age group from preschoolers to retirees. The San Diego Zoo is one of the best zoos in this country. The panda bears attract visitors from around the world. A new baby was born recently so if you go this summer you will catch a glimpse at perhaps the most adorable site other than your own babies you will ever see. The added bonus is you wont have to take care of this baby or pay for it's college education. There is a tram that takes you over the zoo so you can get an aerial view also. The wild animal park in San Diego will allow you to see the animals in a setting more like their own habitat. You will get the feeling that you are actually in the wild when you see the animals roaming about naturally. You will actually have a chance to see lions face to face at this park so it shouldn't be missed.

Seaworld in San Diego is another place to visit. There is a vast array of things to see. They have a huge aquarium of sharks with a tube for visitors to walk through for a realistic look at the life of these ominous looking creatures. You can go face to face with the animals of the arctic or touch a sea star at the Tide Pool. They have live shows for those that want to sit and relax and rides for the teenagers too.

There are plenty of opportunities to golf for the golfer in the family. Torrey Pines is located here and that course is rated well in the golf industry. If you really want to have an impressive vacation the US Open is going to be at Torrey Pines this year so book now to get a good hotel. There are plenty of other times to visit if you don't want the huge crowd. It has breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean so you wont be disappointed even if your game isn't up to par. Balboa Park and Mission Bay are two good courses also operated by the City of San Diego and very affordable. There are many other courses for all levels from young children to semi-pro so if golfing is your thing there are not many other cities that can top this one.

There is plenty of night life with the Gaslamp quarter. They have 35 clubs, tons of restaurants for every appetite and pocketbook as well as theaters and art galleries. The twenties crowd will not leave unhappy with the vast amount of clubs to please every musical appetite with plenty of cool drinks to down. I cannot guarantee you will feel as happy when you wake up in the morning but the nightlife will sizzle.
