Managing your children's extracurricular activities while avoiding burnout for everyone

Today's kids are very fast and intelligent. They want to participate in everything. especially extra-curricular activities like dance, music, swimming, karate, painting, etc. And also modern parents are also ready to encourage their kids in the fields they want. Managing kid's extra curricular activities can be achieved by proper planning, time schedule and patience.

1. First try to know your kid's interests. Once the interests are known, then plan according to the interests and available time. That means some activities like swimming, painting, yoga etc are short term courses. They can practice at home after finishing the course. So better set such activities in holidays. Similarly some activities like music, classical dance, karate etc needs daily practice. They take years to learn these activities. Better choose morning and/or evening timings for these activities.

2. Choose the coaching centers close to your house/ on the way of your office or jagging centers. This saves lots of time. And also it do not require any special transport facility.

3. Mutual understanding between mother and father to manage their kids solves so many problems. They should avoid ego problems and take care of their children's activities depending upon their feasibility and time-permit.

4. Take help of your family members or neighbors if necessary to help kids. This also reduces burden.

5. Limit their extra curricular activities to one or two. Because children are busy with school works and assignments. And allow them to enjoy their boredom with friends and family. This keeps the kids away from mechanical life for a few minutes.

6. Try to finish most of your house hold activities when kids are sleeping. Get relax when they go to school or coaching centers. This saves both your time and your kids time.

7. Take daily feed back of your kids. if there is anything problem then try to solve it as early as possible. if you do not take the feed back children will hide many things. So better choose night (bed time) to take feed back. Ask them with love and affection. This makes bond more firm and strong.
