When it comes to decorating my home I prefer to do it myself. First of all hiring someone to do it for you is entirely too expensive. Second, they will not suit my tastes. I like my home to have a country decor and I find it easier and a lot more affordable for me to decorate on my own. I have already done this anyway. Many of the things I have in my house are purely of my own design and made by my own two hands. It gives me a sense of satisfaction to have the ability to do this. It also fills me with pride when someone comes into my home and compliments me on my decor. I have just been the recipient of such compliments yesterday as a matter of fact. It fills me with pride to have people ask me where I got some of my pieces and sometimes they are astonished to hear that I made them myself. I have three large pieces in my house that I made myself. The huge corner cabinet in my kitchen was made by husband and me and I made a 6 foot tall bookshelf that is in my bedroom as well as the cabinet in our living room. I make many other smaller things that suit my tastes. If someone told me that I had to hire someone to decorate my home it would go undone. I would not have it any other way than to do it myself.
