A local's guide to Myrtle Beach dining

Myrtle Beach offers a wide variety of dining experiences. However, there are a few restaurants that only the "locals" know about that the public should definitely be aware of and visit.

Collector's Cafe
This restaurant is truly one of my favorites. It is located in a strip plaza and the general passerby wouldn't recognize the value of dining at Collector's Cafe. One of the more interesting aspects of this restaurant is that it doubles as an art gallery. Each room is surrounded with art that can be purchased by diners or the general public. The surrounding art makes for a unique atmosphere.

The food at Collector's Cafe is amazing offering high end entrees with a wide selection of seafood and meat. Inside the restaurant is a full service bar and coffee bar available while waiting. You Definitely want to make reservations, and this goes for the entire year. The pricing is from Medium to High.

Black Thai
Black Thai is right in the center of Myrtle Beach. It is located on Hwy 501 approximately 1.5 miles from the beach. Thai cuisine offers a great variety of dishes with my favorite being Pad Thai. A full service bar is in the back of the restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is retro and eclectic. There are several statues and Asian Art throughout the Restaurant that add to the success of the restaurant. Pricing falls in the middle.

Soho
If you love sushi, Soho is the place to go. Soho has a large sushi bar for seating and a large restaurant area for other seating. The restaurant is set up with extremely modern furnishings and lighting. If you don't prefer sushi, a full menu is available. The inside of the restaurant reminds it's customers of being in a metropolitan area. In addition, this restaurants is conveniently located in the center of Myrtle Beach and close to Ocean Boulevard.
Depending on what you order, pricing is fairly standard compared to other restaurants with the same type of menu and service.

Cagney's
Cagney's is a locals favorite located along restaurant row. They are very well known for their prime rib and twice baked potatoes. However, the menu you offers a well rounded variety including seafood, poultry, and beef. One other favorite is the flavored butter they serve with your bread. Pricing at Cagney's is medium to high,

These restaurants are an extremely small percentage of restaurants available in the Myrtle Beach area. Access to other available food venues are plentiful on the Internet.
