Choosing the best Republican candidates for President in 2008

The 2008 election is a benchmark election in that it brings the middle and lower economical classes against the power grabbing Washington elite in such a resounding way it nearly deafens anyone listening. It has been going on for years now and really started picking up steam with the election of Reagan.

Take the people out of the equation who will vote for anyone as long as the party affiliation is also their affiliation, and what you have is a very large group of disgruntled people who are sick of the status quo as well as the bickering between the two parties in power. They want a Congress and President who will actually work together toward changing laws and policies for the betterment of all the people, not just select groups of people.

This group of people is NOT really all that interested in political party affiliation but they ARE interested in changing the face of government back to servants of the people instead of rulers over the people. The form of government our founding fathers envisioned and put in place was just that, servants of the people, but over the years it has grown toward heavy handed rulership instead.

This movement toward REAL change is why people reelected Bill Clinton and George Bush. They were hoping they would perform in the way they wanted if given enough time. Of course that never happened. Reagan types come along only once in a while.

The Democrats misread what the American people were saying through their votes in the last congressional election. They went back to their old stupid agendas overnight which is not this group of American people's will for the most part. It's anyone's guess what the 2008 congressional races will yield because we seem to have run out of options.

With men like Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee pulling out in front of traditional acting Republicans and Democrats alike, the 2008 Presidential elections seem to be centered on a different sort of man than traditional Democrats or Republicans normally produce.

In my opinion the tempo is getting louder and louder with the people saying they want REAL change now, not tomorrow or never. They want leaders that will take on the establishment, not be a part of the establishment. Politicians go about preaching change but when they are elected into office the only changes we usually see are not on everyone's behalf.

Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee fit the mold the people are looking for better than the others, so that is why they are pulling out in front. Mike Huckabee's race is remarkable
