There are as many different home business ideas for moms as there are different moms. Each mom has her own personal set of circumstances: home location, age of children, health conditions, resources, etc. A perfect job for one mom can be completely inappropriate for another.

So, what I will do today, is list some work at home jobs that moms may be interested in trying. I will also list some websites that will help you set up a home business, provide job sources, and other information that will prove useful if you are a mom trying to bring in some extra cash from home..

1) Home day care - for children or seniors
2) Direct sales - Avon, Tupperware, Tastefully Simple, etc.
3) Catering - children's parties, adult parties, daily meals for seniors, etc.
4) Alterations - many people don't know how to do their own alterations and repairs anymore; if you do, you can use this to earn cash
5) Decorating - interior and/or exterior (seasonal - 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.)
6) Pet care - walking pets, pet daycare, pet grooming
7) Crafts/Art - I know people who work all year painting, sculpting, knitting, making ceramics, etc. Then, they sell their creations on-line, at arts and craft shows, flea markets, and swap meets.
8) Tutoring and teaching - both on-line and in person
9) Data Entry
10) Transcription - dental, medical, and legal
11) Editing and Proofreading
12) Customer Service Center operator
13) Video taping - weddings, parties, birthdays, etc.
14) Answering Service
15) Billing - medical and dental or for any company that need this service
16) Bookkeeping/Accounting
17) Personal shopper
18) Gift baskets
19) Writing - articles, blogs, letters, pay-per-post, etc. Even novels; but, they take a long time to write and you make no money while they are being written.
20) Researcher - there are people who need information; but, they don't have the time to do the necessary research to find the material they need - genealogy, educators. students, writers, etc.

There are more; but, these should give a mom a good starting place.

Here are a couple of websites that will give you good info and listings of actual jobs.

www.moneymakingmommy.com - Money Making Mommy has a lot of good info on starting a home business, avoiding scams, growing a home business, and actual listings of different types of jobs.

www.pcmoneymaker.net - PC Moneymaker has a lot of different opportunities for earning money at home. Some of the listings pay very little or they pay in "prizes/merchandise"; but, some will get you a full time income. It all depends on what you want from a job.

www.ratracerebellion.com - Rat Race Rebellion has job listings and opportunities, information about working from home; and a lot of information on ways to reduce your expenses. Money saved is money you don't need to earn and it lets the money you do have go farther.

Now, it is time to get busy, start checking things out, and start making money!
