NFL talk: How cold weather teams dominate the Super Bowl

I think it is just a coincidence that Cold Weather teams end up dominating the Super Bowl. I mean last year the Indy Colts won and they play in a domed stadium. The Patriots of New England are the favorites to win it all this year, and they play in mostly cold New England, but other strong contenders include the warm weather Dallas Cowboys and San Diego Chargers. If the Pats end up winning the Super Bowl it will be because they have the best players who play the best as a team and have a great Coach in Bill Belicheck. The fact that they play in cold weather may give them s light advantage during the regular season if a warm weather team comes in Foxboro, but as far as the Super Bowl, that is one game and usually in a dome or warm weather city like Miami, so in theory a warm weather team should actually have the advantage.

Now if the Super Bowl was to be played in Green Bay in 30 below temps, then a team like the Packers would definitely have the advantage as they are somewhat used to those types of temps and would be able to adapt better than a warm weather team. If San Diego lives up to expectations and dominates the league and wins several Super Bowls then we will longer be having this type of conversation!
