Shopping for your girlfriend does not have to be to hard, as long as you know her! Make sure that you know what she likes and desires and go with that. Listen to what she is saying when she talks to you, especially close to a special occasion like Christmas, an anniversary, or her birthday. She is probably dropping a few hints throughout conversations on what she wants for the coming occasion, especially if you have given her awful gifts in the past! So here is a list of gifts ideas that you want to AVOID to stay in good terms with your girlfriend....

* Gym membership ~ unless she specifies that she really wants to membership to the gym, don't get it for her! It may be a crashing blow to her self esteem and she will think you are telling her to lose weight. Remember girls brains are wired differently then mens and they take things the wrong way often.

* Sports tickets ~ Tickets to a sports event that she is not particularly into is not a good gift! She will know that gift was not intended for her, rather for you.

* Wrong clothing ~ If you do not know her correct sizes and are not very good at keeping up with fashion, simply DO NOT get her clothing. There are so many things that can go wrong here, so avoid it altogether.

* Kitchen appliances ~ This is an item that you should just buy to place in the kitchen and not give her as a gift. No matter how great you think it will be to give you, you may be sending her the wrong message, like the womans place is in the kitchen! So unless she really wants it, don't give it as a gift.

* Small box (that's not a ring) ~ This may be teasing her especially if she really wants to get married. Most likely she will see the box and jump to conclusions and then be disappointed when it is not "the ring."

* Sugar free or fat free chocolates or candy ~ Unless for some reason she can only eat sugar free or fat free candies, then get the real stuff! She will take it all wrong and think you are complaining about her weight. It is not a uplifting gift, trust me!

* Tools ~ Most ladies do not want a tool for a gift! If it something that you are actually buying for yourself, keep it for yourself!

* Electric shaver ~ Are you trying to tell her something with this gift? It's not a very romantic gift to give her.

* Vacuum cleaner ~ This is an obvious no! Are you trying to tell her to clean or what? A vacuum is not romantic and she doesn't want to receive this as a gift.

* Nothing at all ~ This is probably even worse then giving her a vacuum or a gym
