One Wallet and too Many Pets

*Suspects:
Rachel
Kerry
Roy
Will and Pii

"Sorry about the black coffee, dear, but we seem to be out of creamer."

"That is alright, I'll just go to the store around the corner and get some. Have you seen my keys, Linda?"

"I think they are on the shelf by the door, Jon."

"I got them, but they were not on the shelf, they were on the floor by the shelf. Have you seen my wallet?"

"It's probably on the bedroom dresser, right where you left it last night when we came back from the Pet Food Market."

As Jon makes his way down the hall to the bedroom, he steps into something wet.

"Ah darn it, Roy! Bad dog, bad dog!"

"What is the matter, honey?"

"There is a puddle in the hallway! Kerry, did you not let Roy out this morning? Kerry, do you hear me?

"What, Dad?" Kerry yells back from the other room, without looking up from his video game.

"Did you let Roy out this morning?" Kerry's mom asks.

"It's Rachel's turn!" Kerry says without taking his eyes of the screen in front of him.

"It is not!" Rachel yells back from the dining room, around a mouthful of pancakes and orange juice.

"It was too!"

"Was not, you bonehead."

"Rachel, don't call your brother a bonehead. Kerry, go let Roy out."

"But Mom, I have to get to the spot in the game first where I can save." Kerry whines.

"Now, Kerry!" shouts his mom as she sets to work on cleaning the surprise that Roy left for them on the wooden floor in the hall way.

Kerry sighs and lets Roy out, who jumps up and down excitedly with his tongue hanging out and his tail wagging, oblivious as to why his family is doing so much shouting this morning.

"I still can't find my wallet! I have looked everywhere, but I can't find it." Jon shouts back from the bedroom, while trying to straighten the few strands of hair left on his head. "Roy, stop getting in my way. You need to go out. Go see Kerry. Go! Linda, why did we have to get a puppy instead of a trained dog? Rachel, if this is your idea of an April Fool's joke, I am not amused!"

"But Dad, I did not do anything to your wallet. You told me last year to not play any pranks anymore." Rachel protests with all the indignity a 12 year old can muster.

"It was probably Bessey that took the wallet" Kerry says to her on his way back to his video game.

"That is idiotic. You are just trying to get my snake into trouble because you don't like her. Besides, she is in a cage! If anything, Roy
