on Earth do indeed have an end, and then realize that we are in a bad way, that we are indeed, in trouble, before we can realize that we certainly need some 'good news' to begin with.

May we turn our eyes heavenward for a moment, and dare to gaze into the eyes of this wonderful Truth found in Jesus Christ, receiving God's gracious gift and accepting the Truth with humility. When we can do this, we will be given everything! All we have to do is sever our love for the world, ending our longest running abusive relationship, and turn to the open arms of real Love, a real Life, and a real Way.

Jesus said this to us, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on Earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But rather store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your heart is there your treasure will be also."

Praise be to God for the wonderful and liberating Gospel of Christ! How would we ever make it through this life, let alone make it into the afterlife, if not for the grace of God alone.

God has indeed brought us 'good news'.

But like all news, we can choose to listen.

Or we can ignore it by simply changing the channel.

The world has plenty of those.
