Biographies can be inspiration and life changing in a number of ways, and will be remembered for the time in your life when you read them. The inspiration will be different depending upon the state of your mind at the time; some will uplift, some will give purpose; some will give hope, others will make laughter a part of your day. The following a few that have inspired me, in no particular order.
1) The Moon's a Balloon by David Niven - This book, about the life of a famous actor, inspired me not to take life to seriously, to treat life as it came and the power of humour.
2) Ordinary Genius - The Einstein story - Reminded me of the importance of asking questions, because if you do not question you never learn and discover.
3) Return to Auschwitz by Kitty Hart-Moxon. Read this by accident. It provides the inspiration to know that whatever life throws at you there is always a way through.
4) The story of Douglas Bader - Inspirational because it proves that you can overcome any obstacle in live if you want something bad enough.
5) George Bernard Shaw. Being a fan of his writing, his story inspired me to continue writing when it seemed pointless.
6) The Richard Branson story - Inspired me in my business life by teaching me that if the idea is good you will succeed.
7) Memoirs of an Average man - This is a biography that I actually was ghostwriter on for an 85 year old man in Whistable, UK. It inspired me in that it proved the fact that everyone has a story to tell.
