Life without a boyfriend can be devastating. There are several views of a boyfriend in teens lives. One view is one what parents always say, "keep your head in the books you don't have time for a boyfriend", or "Boys only want one thing." But there are different views of it. Sometimes a person needs someone in their life that makes them feel comfortable. Some people feel like when there is no one listening, a boyfriend will be there because he has no choice but to listen if he really wants to be with you. Sometimes having a boyfriend is the only way you feel loved. Some guys are jerks and really do want only one thing and after they have it or get it they leave you alone feeling like you regret this for the rest of youyr life. But, there are the "Mr. Right" guys who really want to make something of themselves and have someone to share a life with. I don't think women need men or boyfriends for the matter to have a life, but pertaining to some women situations having a boyfriend there is what makes life better. To some women having a boyfriend make them feel good, loved, secure. They feel so high when they're with this man of theirs that no one can take there happiness from them. My family has always insulted me or discouraged me for my ways and actions because I didn't act my race (Acting white as they call it), and when I met my boyfriend he acted totally different. At first I thought it was a bluff he's like any other guy, but, he was actually this real person. We had a courting type relationship but also the brother-sister type relaionship where I feel like he's is my family. Ifelt like I could count on him and he made me feel safe. When I just didn't feel like smiling he asked me what was wrong because he cared. When we said our goodbyes for the day he asked me could he have a hug or kiss because he respected me. When he buys me things for no reason tells me that he loves me its because he really does. We have been off and on dating for almost five years now and I'm only sixteen. Yes, I am that young. But, there are situations with certain people only a man, and the right man can solve. My life without a boyfriend, my boyfriend, would be ruthless.
