As far as graphics, sound, and game play complexity go, the industry has greatly improved. This alone is making the gaming experience more enjoyable. While playing a game you can feel like you are part of the game. You are watching a interactive movie that you are in control of. This will make the time that you are wasting playing the game much more enjoyable.

However, by having better graphics, sound, and game play it is making the effect a game can have on its pupil much worse.

On a older gaming system there was still nudity and profanity. A womans breast often look like a mess of pixel-ed boxes. You knew what they were implying but you could not see them clearly. Now on many video games you are watching a pornographic movie. Women are depicted in next to nothing or a have completely bare chest, if not entirely nude.

Weapons are also having the same dilemma. They are clearer and more realistic than ever before. The problem with this is it can lead many un-educated person to live in a fantasy reality. If you have the feeling or understanding that you have done it before, if even just on a video games, it will give them the impression that they can be indestructible in real life. We see this time and time again with people that choose to run from the police and ram their cars thinking they are indestructible.

The profanity is getting more common place than ever before. Before, due to the lack of sound quality, music was typically used instead of character chatter. Now in an attempt to be more realistic, characters must have personalities. For some odd reason having a personality implies that you must scream profanities at everyone.

The advances in technology are nice to look at, however, the affect on the morality of our nation are just not worth the risk.
