Why the paparazzi shouldn't harass celebrities for pictures of their children

The paparazzi should definitely not harass celebrities for pictures of their children. These children did not ask to be in the media spotlight. They are simply thrust into the spotlight by what their parents do for a living. The paparazzis have gone way to far in recent years. It used to be that they would take pictures of celebrities coming out of shopping malls, groceries, and maybe even a shot or two of celebrities on the beach. Now, they are literally invading the lives of celebrities. They follow them as they are driving their cars. They practically sleep out of their houses, and they follow them on foot as they are coming on and off a plane, while they are shopping, and even once in a while, as they are going to the bathroom. Then when they are hit by a car, they have the nerve to complain that the celebrity was not careful. Well, they have no business chasing people for virtually no end result to begin with. There should be some kind of law to make this behavior illegal. Yes, they are celebrities. Yes, they have rich and wonderful lives with the glamorous cars, homes, outfits, pets, and any other article of glam. This does not mean they are not human. All humans have a right to be respected, and a right to privacy. When a celebrity cannot see after coming out of a diner because there is too many flash bulbs and cameras in their faces, the line has been crossed way to much.

This is not to say that celebrities have no part in this either. When it is convenient for them, they are just people like you and me, living their life. They are simply entertainers for you and me, however. Then, when the VIP limos come around, all you hear is the classic question, "Do you know who I am? I am a celebrity. I follow different sets of rules because I am better than the average, little people." They want different treatments for how they decide they are from one day to the next. When they are caught doing something stupid; like snorting cocaine, or being out at night drunk and beating up someone and getting into a crash; they complain that they could never have private lives because all their actions are on tape for everyone. Well, ever stop to think that you should not be doing this in the first place, even if you are a celebrity? Ever stop to think that things like murder, and assault are (gasp) not meant for ANYONE to commit? Whether or not someone is in the spotlight, they have no right to act immorally and leave other people in danger.

Now, back to celebrity children. It is the celebrity you should want, not their children. Celebrities, like us regular folk, want protected children. The children did not have the box-office hit, or the latest platinum record. If the children say to their parents that they do not mind being in a picture, that is one thing. It should really be up to the kids. If the kids do not want the attention, then they should not get it. One of these days, and I despise saying this, but it is inevitable if the paparazzis do not change their ways), a celebrity child will be hit by a car, or run over, or caught in any kind of crossfire that will do them harm. And what will be the paparazzis excuse for their own childlike, selfish, behavior? We are only doing our job. Last I checked, no job has a description of endangering the lives of people each day.
