A WEEK ON MY OWN
Sounds like real bliss
A whole week on my own
It'll be too good to miss
With just me home alone.
There'll be one bed to make
No hungry kids to feed.
I can do with the break
Sheer Heaven indeed.
I can colour my hair
And read a racy novel
I won't really care
If the house is a hovel
I won't have to worry
With vast meals to prepare
So no need to worry
If the freezer is bare
All week I'll be a lazy loafer
And scoff a box of chocs or two
Watching TV on the sofa
Putting off chores to do.
Now who's that at the door?I pray
Still planning my week ahead.
'The Campsite's full,'you say
'We'll all stay home instead.'
