Songs: Dreams

There I am,
Lying there,
With shut eyes,
And mussed up hair.

I Tried but couldn't,
Stay awake,
Here he comes,
For goodness sake.

Turn my head,
and I hear,
Something soft,
In my ear.

Something soft,
In my ear.
Just a whisper,
But I fear.

He does this to me,
every night.
Always sound.
Never sight.

Oh why does the devil always come at night?
Oh why does the devil always come at night?
Oh why does the devil always come at night?
Oh why does the devil always come at night?

I sit up,
Wide awake,
With straining ears,
and a belly ache.

The nervous sweat,
blankets my skin,
A tear drops,
for I have sinned.

I can still,
See them all,
For they were killed,
in the fall.

The turning leaves,
Set the scene,
What I perceive,
To be unclean.

My bloody hands,
What she said,
The devil's band,
In my head.

Oh why does the devil always come at night?
Oh why does the devil always come at night?
Oh why does the devil always come at night?
Oh why does the devil always come at night?
Oh why does the devil always come at night?
Oh why does the devil always come at night?
Oh why does the devil always come at night?
Oh why does the devil always come at night?
