Grades do matter to a certain extent,they play an essential role in laying the foundation for what really matters most,emotional intelligence,it is the most important aspect of success in any facet of life , be it getting a job ,having a successful marriage or any other relationship in life.When one is emotionally intelligent he or she has an upper hand when it comes to decision making, jugdement and general communication with the world at large.One might have the best grades required by a very good company however, if someone can not exhibit emotional intelligence they are bound to be out smarted by people who can act,present themselves and communicate in a way that highlights the fact that they are emotionally intelligent.This is evident when it comes to recruiting sales people. One can not recruit a person solely basing his or her choice on the good grades and ignore the other personal attributes.However, if the two are combined great success can be achieved.Which means that good grades do need to work hand in glove with emotional intelligence to achieve the best results in any aspect of life.On the other hand, when it comes to me and my parents good grades are everything.During my High school days the only thing that my mum used to emphasise that my books should my best friends, therefore if my world revolved around my parents grades would matter the most!
